I’ve lost so much weight so rapidly for no real reason that it is starting to get somewhat alarming.
But I’m obese, so if I went to the doctor, they’d probably be all, “Good for you, GETTING HEALTHY. Everything is great because you’re losing weight.” And send me on my way without checking anything, even if I tried to protest. Because if I’m skinny(ier), then I must be so healthy, right?
Whereas, if I were not obese, they’d probably be very concerned.
I mean, I’m probably so fine, but body shaming shouldn’t keep me from going to the doctor. And really, doctors are just gatekeepers for prescriptions to me now. I don’t really trust a thing that they say.
